  • Blog with Word 2007

Word 2007 Beta 2 provides the ability to publish blog entries. Very cool! There’s a “New blog entry” template for those times when all you want to do is post an entry. Using the template will display the “Blog Post” contextual menu on the Word 2007 ribbon.

Managing your blog accounts is simple too. From the Blog Post contextual menu click Manage Accounts New and do your thing.

I must say, I had a bit of a struggle registering my CS account at first. However, after adding my other two accounts the Community Server 2.0 account registered just fine - hmm.  It wouldn't take the user name/password and cancel didn't close the dialog.  I eventually resorted to using the Task Manager to kill Word.  Another thing, the team'll need to work on making posting images not so tough.  Posting images inline with your entry is one of those reasons to use word as an editor along with spell check, formatting and WYSIWYG over say - Qumana.  It's a really good first shot though!  I'm looking forward the releases to come...

  • Windows Vista and 2007 Microsoft Office System Beta 2 Released

Beta 2 releases of Windows Vista and 2007 Office System were released.  Both betas provides testing and trial version software to help in the evaluation and deployment for organizations, partner ISVs and Systems Integrators.

The beta releases are, of course, not final products but reportedly contain all of the release functionality.
